Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Flat Rate Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics
- Perform scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and suspension repairs
- Conduct complex repairs including transmission overhaul, engine diagnostics, powertrain repairs, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration
- Repair automotive electrical systems, brakes, shocks & struts, air brakes, and welding as needed
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete repairs accurately and safely
- Follow manufacturer specifications and schematics to ensure proper repair procedures are adhered to
- Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed for quality control and customer transparency
Experience
- Proven experience working as an automotive technician or mechanic in a dealership or independent repair shop
- Strong background in diesel engine repair, heavy equipment mechanics, and automotive suspension system repair
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, auto body repair, auto estimating, and GM vehicles preferred
- Knowledge of transmissions, mechanical systems repair, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation
- Ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical repair devices
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism
