Queens Centers for Progress, a not-for-profit agency in Queens, is seeking a dedicated Teacher's Assistant for its Children's Center PKA program. This is a full-time position in a warm, supportive preschool environment serving children ages 3-4.
Salary: $19.65 per hour, or $22.75 with NYS Teacher Assistant Certification
Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher in implementing educational activities
- Support the physical and personal care needs of children (feeding, changing, cleaning, etc.)
- Work collaboratively as part of a team in a nurturing and inclusive setting
- Help maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Follows school calendars and holidays. Opportunities to work in the summer program
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required
- NYS Teacher Assistant Certification (preferred or in progress)
- Experience working with children ages 3-5, especially children with disabilities, preferred.
