Duties
- Assist with operating and monitoring extrusion line equipment safely and efficiently
- Learn and maintain a basic understanding of extrusion processes and related machinery
- Use process control systems and follow product specifications with supervisor guidance
- Use measurement tools and gauges to help ensure product quality and specifications
- Support changeovers, startups, and shutdowns following established procedures
- Prepare materials, tooling, and setups for upcoming production jobs
- Monitor product quality, identify defects, and follow quality assurance procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Report safety hazards, equipment issues, or production concerns to supervisors
- Follow all company procedures, work instructions, and production guidelines
- Assist team members and participate in training and development activities
Experience
- Manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Experience operating plastics extrusion machinery is a plus, but not required
- Willingness to learn extrusion processes and manufacturing equipment
- Familiarity with plastics blow molding, injection molding, machining, or fabrication is helpful
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
