Summary
Civic Memorial High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant E Sports Coach for the upcoming fall season. This position is ideal for someone passionate about competitive gaming and committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for student athletes. The Assistant E Sports Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to develop players' skills, promote teamwork, and enhance the overall eSports experience for our students.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and organizing practice sessions and training programs for the eSports team.
- Support the development of individual player skills through targeted coaching and feedback.
- Help create and maintain a positive and competitive team environment that encourages teamwork and sportsmanship.
- Monitor and evaluate player performance during practices and competitions, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Head Coach to strategize for upcoming matches and tournaments.
- Organize team meetings and communicate effectively with players and parents regarding schedules, expectations, and team policies.
- Assist in the management of team logistics, including equipment, schedules, and travel arrangements for competitions.
- Promote a healthy balance between academics and eSports participation among student athletes.
- Foster relationships with players to encourage personal growth, teamwork, and development of leadership skills.
- Stay informed about the latest trends in eSports and gaming to enhance team performance and engagement.
Requirements
- Previous experience in coaching or playing eSports at a competitive level is preferred.
- Strong understanding of eSports, including game mechanics, strategies, and teamwork dynamics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student athletes while promoting a positive team culture.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing schedules and logistics.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful environment for all participants.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during the competitive season.
