We are seeking a skilled and dedicated full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties/ facilities through effective maintenance and repair of equipment, systems, and structures. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, effective response to work order repairs, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. The position will require working within multiple properties throughout South County RI with occasional coverage in Northern RI (including Cumberland, Lincoln & Pawtucket).
Qualifications/ Skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Trade School or hands on equivalent)
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance and ability to learn on the job
- Must be willing to work a rotating ON-CALL Schedule
- Should be able to lift 80-100 lbs. as needed
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience in residential painting is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
Responsibilities
- Execute facilities maintenance tasks, including plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Should have the knowledge and ability to perform the following duties:
- Some knowledge of HVAC repairs
- >Furnaces/Boilers (Gas, Electric, Propane, etc.)
- > Hot Water Tanks (Gas, Electric, Propane, etc.)
- >Air Conditioning Units/change AC filters (If Necessary)
- Plumbing repairs
- Electrical repairs
- Repair/replace smoke/CO2 alarms
- Appliance repair
- Roofing inspection/minor roof repair
- Replace damaged doors/windows/screens
- Repair/replace lockset & door hardware
- Painting, touch-up and vacant apartments
- VCT repair/replacement (If Necessary)
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with staff or tenants regarding maintenance needs.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
