Responsibilities
- Efficiently deliver food from the kitchen to tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
- Assist with food preparation tasks and maintain cleanliness in food handling areas
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guests depart, including bussing and resetting tables for new guests
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations, and seat guests in a friendly manner
- Take orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders to kitchen staff
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, accommodating special dietary needs, and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including dishwashing, sanitation of utensils, and general upkeep of the restaurant environment
Skills
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service roles with strong guest relations skills
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and POS transactions
- Familiarity with restaurant equipment such as POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS), dishwashers, and kitchen tools
- Excellent communication skills with phone etiquette for reservation management and guest interactions
- Experience with catering, banquet service, or hotel hospitality is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and energetic demeanor
