Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to 3-year-olds, incorporating literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social skills development
- Lead daily classroom routines, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about each child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships
- Plan and execute lesson plans aligned with early childhood development standards and educational best practices
- Support children with special needs through individualized instruction and collaboration with specialists in early intervention and special education
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and incidents
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or toddler care settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and standardized testing methods for early learners
- Experience teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, and child welfare practices within a preschool environment
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies, behavior management techniques, and special education accommodations
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in early childhood education or preschool teaching are highly preferred
- Prior private school or childcare center experience is advantageous for understanding diverse educational environments
