Remanufacturing Engineer II, Power Electronics role bridges process and test engineering procedures with the technical operations teams. The Remanufacturing engineering team in Kentucky is responsible for designing and maintaining the remanufacturing capability of remanufactured products throughout the entire service lifecycle. The Technical operations team are the experts in the tools, processes, and inter-team resources needed to consistently meet Remanufacturing goals. Our Remanufacturing team members achieve success through task ownership, strong partnerships, integrity and attention to detail. Coordinate engineering changes and new remanufacturing program launches for power electronics components (such as inverters, converters, and charging modules)

Read and interpret electrical schematics to root cause and diagnose issues with Power Electronics modules lineside.

Review, interpret, and summarize statistical data and testing yields to drive process improvement.

Determine the "Best Practice" process approach for material handling, tooling, diagnostic equipment, and labor processes specifically geared towards teardown, repair, and reassembly.

Develop work instructions, standardized work, process flows, and process documentation to ensure remanufacturing processes are strictly followed.

Work with the design and quality engineering teams to establish processes that lend themselves to efficient remanufacturing while ensuring top-tier reliability.

Assist in commissioning and optimizing diagnostic and assembly equipment used in the power electronics remanufacturing line.

Perform time analysis using standard motion time systems (e.g., MODAPTS), estimate cycle times, manage labor costs, and drive line balancing.

Support production teams through process and equipment-related troubleshooting.

Monitor Quality KPIs and develop action items to reduce costs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.

0-2 years of engineering experience (Internship or Co-op experience in a high-volume manufacturing, electronics, or remanufacturing operation is highly preferred).

Hands-on experience or familiarity with supporting production equipment (Electrical testing, mechanical assembly, control systems, robotics, etc.).

Basic understanding of power electronics, high-voltage systems, or circuit board diagnostics is a strong plus.

Experience in using 2D & 3D Modeling tools (AutoCAD, CATIA/ENOVIA preferred).

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T), Torque Tooling, Error Proofing, and PFMEA.

Familiarity with or certification in Six Sigma DMAIC, Lean Assembly Principles, Kaizen, 5S, and Time Studies.

Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to write clear work instructions.

Creative problem-solving skills and a strong cross-functional team orientation.

Working knowledge of Google Office suite of tools
