The Groundskeeper performs landscaping tasks using power equipment and hand tools to maintain the facility’s grounds. This position will involve regular use of a weed eater, leaf blower and rake.
KNOW HOW

Previous experience preferred.

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Ability to operate various types of power equipment including weed eater, trimmers, hedge trimmers and leaf blowers.

Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping.

Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments.

Extensive knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes.

Excellent time management skills.

On-the-job training offered.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Trims weeds, and rakes leaves as assigned.

Pick up sticks
-
Trims bushes, shrubs, and hedges.
-
Performs other related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling or kneeling.

Must be physically able to operate a week eater.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.

Ability to observe and promote safety and security procedures.

Ability to work in an environment with noise.
