Seeking qualified dental hygienist to join our team. We are a relaxed, friendly office that values high quality dental care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Administer local anesthesia as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Adhere to strict aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection
Skills:
- Proficient in using dental office software such as Daisy, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing
- Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy to accurately communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health practices and treatment options
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plans
- Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with dentists, dental assistants, and other staff members
