Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive Hebrew language and religious studies curricula tailored to diverse age groups and learning styles
- Lead engaging classroom sessions that incorporate interactive lessons, discussions, and hands-on activities to deepen students’ understanding of Jewish traditions and values
- Mentor and support students in their spiritual journeys, providing guidance on religious practices, life challenges, and personal growth
- Coordinate and oversee youth engagement initiatives, including holiday celebrations, community service projects, and cultural events
- Collaborate with parents, clergy, and community members to foster a supportive learning environment and promote active participation in religious education programs
- Manage volunteer staff and assist in recruiting new teachers or assistants to ensure program continuity and quality
- Organize educational workshops, seminars, and special events that enhance religious knowledge and community involvement
Skills
- Proven experience in teaching religious studies or Hebrew language instruction with a passion for youth education
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate both students and volunteers within a faith-based setting
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage children, parents, clergy, and community members
- Deep understanding of pastoral theology, Jewish traditions, and religious organization childcare practices
- Experience working with children in educational or youth ministry environments; ability to create inclusive and nurturing classrooms
- Skilled in event planning, program development, and community outreach initiatives
- Knowledge of nonprofit faith-based organization operations, fundraising strategies, and volunteer management
- Compassionate approach with background in Christian counseling or social work preferred for supporting student well-being
- Ability to mentor youth through religious teachings while fostering leadership qualities among volunteers and staff
