Description:
The Host/Cashier is primarily responsible for representing the brand of the venue while greeting and seating guests and assisting service staff with guest contact and table information. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and policies, practices and procedures.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Greet guests when they enter the outlet, determine what comps, points or awards guests have and finally complete the payment transaction through the POS system.

Determine the size of the party and any special needs for seating, work with their team to locate and assist guests to their seating/table.

Thank guests as they exit the buffet and assist with any final guest needs or questions.

Maintain a clean and sanitary work area to include the cashier box, dining room and service stations.

Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Education
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent - Required

Ability to take initiative and exhibit flexibility.

Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, crawl, kneeling, crouching, balance etc. for extended periods.

Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations.

Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms.

Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
