Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Excavator Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy equipment to efficiently execute excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality. Responsibilities
- Operate excavators safety awareness.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist with site clearing, trenching, grading, and excavation activities according to project specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to execute construction plans efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Support other heavy equipment operations such as horizontal drilling, tanker handling, paving, and water truck management as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage throughout each shift.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery and troubleshooting techniques.
- Prior construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in operating large vehicles such as dump trucks or tanker trucks is preferred but minimum Class C DL.
- Knowledge of construction processes involving Caterpillar machinery or similar brands is advantageous.
- Experience in horizontal drilling or paving projects is a plus but not mandatory.
