Adult Education ESOL Case Manager

We are currently seeking an ESOL Case Manager for our 92 Throop Avenue location in Brooklyn.
What you’ll do:
St. Nicks Alliance Adult Education Program seeks a Case Manager to support the ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) program. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, interpersonal, writing, and computer skills, and be comfortable using databases to maintain accurate case notes and student records. The candidate must be able to work effectively with culturally diverse populations, maintain professional boundaries, support participants in achieving their goals, and uphold strict confidentiality; experience with crisis intervention is preferred. This is a full-time position Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with required availability for up to two evening shifts per week (11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) and occasional Saturdays, with hours subject to adjustment based on the Adult Education program’s needs.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct one-on-one intake assessments to evaluate participants’ education, work history, career goals, and barriers.
- Manage and support a caseload of up to 120 students annually.
- Develop individualized Education and Career Plans for participants.
- Maintain complete and organized participant files, including documentation and case notes.
- Monitor student attendance and follow up on engagement in classes and program activities.
- Document monthly case notes and track participant status, compliance, and program outcomes.
- Provide referrals to education, employment, and support services to address participant needs and barriers.
- Administer assessments, facilitate workshops, update databases, support program outreach, and perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
- Other duties as assigned by the Adult Education Program Manager
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education or related field or Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years related field experience in social service organization preferred.
- Must be bilingual (Spanish, English)
- Certification in Best Plus 3.0 or TABE 13/14 preferred.
