Job Summary
KHM Tutoring is seeking reliable and enthusiastic tutors to provide one-on-one, in-home academic support to students throughout the Honolulu area. We are currently hiring tutors for Math (must know elementary math through basic algebra) and English/Reading/Writing.
As a KHM tutor, you'll work one-on-one with students in a personalized learning environment, helping them build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and achieve their academic goals. We provide flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students' lives.
Please note: This position requires traveling to students' homes for tutoring sessions. Applicants must have reliable transportation. Whenever possible, students are assigned based on a tutor's location to help minimize travel time.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring tailored to each student's learning style and academic needs.
- Help students improve their understanding of Math or English/Reading/Writing concepts.
- Create a positive, engaging, and encouraging learning environment.
- Communicate student progress and any concerns with KHM Tutoring.
- Arrive on time and maintain a professional relationship with students and families.
Qualifications
- Comfortable and confident tutoring Math through at least Basic Algebra and/or English, Reading, and Writing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and patient.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred but not required.
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to students' homes throughout the Honolulu area.
