Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide range of baked goods, including breads, croissants, sandwich, cakes, pastries, and other confections, adhering strictly to recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes and desserts with precision using various cake decorating techniques to ensure visual appeal
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, sheeters, knives, and other culinary tools
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following food safety protocols and sanitation procedures
- Assist in food production for catering events or high-volume orders while ensuring timely delivery
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper food safety management practices are followed at all times
- Support the team in food handling tasks such as packaging, portioning, and preparing ingredients for service
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, baking, pastry making, or cake decorating within a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and food safety standards
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in pastry preparation techniques
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency across baked goods
- High-volume production experience with an emphasis on efficiency and quality control
- Good understanding of basic math for measurements and recipe adjustments
- Exceptional customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members involved in catering or special orders
