Brazos Electric Power Cooperative is seeking a Materials Management Supervisor to lead safe, accurate, and service-focused materials operations across assigned warehouse and laydown yard locations.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands that effective materials management is about more than inventory—it’s about operational readiness. and emergency response.
What You’ll Do
Lead Materials Operations

Establish and maintain replenishment controls that keep critical inventory within approved stocking parameters.

Align material forecasts with maintenance, construction forecasts, rebuild projects, and emergency needs.

Initiate purchase requisitions and recommend changes to stocking levels based on demand, risk, cost, and lead times.

Ensure materials received meet purchase order, quantity, condition, and specification requirements, and drive resolution of discrepancies before materials are released for use.
Maintain Inventory Accuracy & Accountability

Maintain an inventory-control environment where system records, physical quantities, material locations, and custody remain aligned.

Ensure receipts, issues, credits, transfers, and retirements are supported by complete,

Establish and enforce cycle-count and physical-inventory practices

Provide reliable, information regarding material availability, status, commitments, and exceptions to Management,

Identify and implement opportunities to improve warehouse efficiencyOversee Warehouses & Laydown Yards

Maintain warehouse and storage facilities to defined standards for safety, security, housekeeping, organization, material identification, and efficient flow.

Govern facility layouts, location controls, traffic flow, capacity, security, and maintenance to support safe and scalable operations.

Maintain qualified personnel, current certifications, serviceable equipment, and appropriate coverage to meet both routine and emergency material-handling needs.
Manage Fuel, Oil & Gas Inventories

Maintain compliant custody, storage, inspection, and inventory controls for new and waste transformer oil, gasoline, diesel, nitrogen, and oxygen.

Maintain fuel and gas inventories

Ensure underground fuel-storage inspections and monthly EHS records are accurate, timely, and complete
Lead, Coach & Improve
Set clear priorities, operating expectations, and performance standards for direct reports.
Build a culture centered on safety, accountability, service, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
Required qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent certificate.

Six (6) years of experience in electric utility or related warehousing, including knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and equipment.

Valid Driver’s License.

Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within nine (9) months of employment.
