Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems ensuring all special requests are noted
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Knowlegeable of menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Process transactions accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with attention to detail
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings to assist guests effectively
- Support food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas promptly, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing questions or concerns promptly
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems for sales transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Culinary experience or food industry background is highly desirable
- Familiarity with wine knowledge, spirits experience, cocktail preparation, and upselling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
- Ability to handle food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and guest satisfaction
