Overview
This is a sub-contract 1099 position. Join our dynamic construction team as a Tile Installer and bring exceptional craftsmanship to a variety of building and renovation projects. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring wall tile and flooring surfaces and full shower units with precision and attention to detail. Your expertise will help create beautiful, durable finishes that enhance the functionality and aesthetic appeal of residential homes. Duties
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure accurate tile and flooring installation.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate underlayments or adhesives to ensure optimal bonding.
- Install a variety of flooring and wall materials including ceramic, porcelain, epoxy and tile with precision.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and lay tiles or flooring materials according to specifications.
- Perform floor refinishing tasks such as buffing, sealing, caulking, and water damage restoration to maintain surface integrity.
- Follow building installation safety compliance standards diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Assist with remodeling projects by installing fixtures, cabinetry, trim carpentry elements, and performing general handyman tasks as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction with a focus on tile laying and showers.
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and interpreting technical drawings
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and the use of hand tools and power tools required for installation tasks.
- Knowledge of building material installation techniques including epoxy floors, carpet laying, vinyl floors, hardwoods, and water damage restoration.
- Experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety standards; previous restoration industry experience is a plus.
- Ability to handle manual tasks such as concrete finishing, caulking, buffing floors, and installing fixtures or cabinetry efficiently.
- Strong understanding of floor and tile care practices including cleaning protocols post-installation to ensure longevity of finished surfaces.
