Duties
- Assist the store manager in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Lead and motivate a team of sales associates through effective training, coaching, and performance management
- Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, ensuring high levels of satisfaction through excellent service and communication skills
- Support sales initiatives by implementing marketing strategies, pricing adjustments, and promotional displays
- Manage cashiering activities such as cash handling, POS transactions, and balancing registers accurately
- Participate in recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates, conducting employee orientations, and supporting onboarding processes
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervising responsibilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, merchandising, POS systems, and retail math
- Knowledge of payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and cash handling procedures
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Experience in customer service environments with a focus on sales management and store operations
- Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store settings is a plus but not required
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are considered an asset for serving diverse customer bases
