Main Street Mower is looking for an experienced Shopify E-Commerce Growth Specialist for a short term contract to help improve our online shopping experience. We already have an in-house web manager who maintains our website, so this is not a maintenance role. We're looking for a specialist who can evaluate our current site, identify opportunities to improve user experience, increase conversions, strengthen Google SEO, and make it easier for customers to find the right products.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Shopify, UX/UI design, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and SEO. You should be comfortable improving navigation, search functionality, collection pages, product pages, and overall site architecture. Experience with large product catalogs, parts-based websites, or fitment-driven e-commerce is a strong plus. Our goal is to build one of the best online shopping experiences in the outdoor power equipment industry.
This is a remote, project-based contract expected to last approximately three months. You will work alongside our existing web manager, implement strategic improvements, document your work, and provide a complete handoff at the end of the project. If you have a proven track record of helping Shopify stores grow through better user experience, higher conversion rates, and stronger organic search performance, we'd love to hear from you. Please include examples of Shopify stores you've worked on and measurable results you've achieved.
Responsibilities
- Perform a complete UX, CRO, and SEO audit of our Shopify website.
- Improve navigation, search, and product discovery.
- Design a better shopping experience for customers.
- Create or improve a "Shop by Model" or product finder experience.
- Improve collection pages, product pages, and landing pages.
- Optimize on-page SEO and identify technical SEO opportunities.
- Improve site architecture and internal linking.
- Recommend improvements to increase conversion rates.
- Work alongside our in-house web manager throughout the project.
- Document all changes and provide a complete handoff at project completion.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone with proven experience improving Shopify stores through user experience, conversion optimization, and SEO.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Shopify theme customization
- Shopify Liquid experience
- UX/UI Design
- Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
- Technical & On-Page SEO
- Google Analytics (GA4)
- Google Search Console
- Shopify Search & Discovery
- Experience with large product catalogs
- Experience with parts, automotive, powersports, industrial, or equipment e-commerce is a plus
