Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Cook a variety of menu items with precision, speed, and attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, adhering to food safety guidelines
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by ensuring timely meal preparation
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality in every dish
- Help with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supply needs
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is highly preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen safety practices and food handling regulations
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic culinary techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
- Experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if needed
