The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail oriented and able to adjust quickly to work on multiple projects while having the ability to bring smart solutions to bear.
Requirements:
- Accredited 4-year engineering degree or computer science degree looked upon favorable
- Automation / machine-building experience in an academic or work setting
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code, OSHA machine safety standards
- Knowledge of programming PLCs and machine controls
- Knowledge of programming Robots preferred
- Knowledge of Safety Circuits for Automation Cells
- Ability to accurately create electrical drawings
- Ability to accurately specify electrical components required by a system
- Demonstrated experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
- High level of excitement about working with automation in a constantly evolving environment
- Effective communication with management, customers, and vendors.
Responsibilities include the following:
- PLC programing
- Robotic Programing
- Electrical Drawings
- Compliance with Electrical Code
- Specification of Electrical Components
- Design automation machinery using AutoCAD
- Analyze and verify existing models in AutoCAD & SolidWorks
- Design safety circuit
- Generate print packages for part production
- Manage the fabrication of electrical controls with vendors and in-house technicians
- Comprehend and document automation process including machine sequence and work instructions
- Coordination with Metal Fabrication, Engineering and Software Managers
- Management of Electrical Assembly
- Supervision and Training of Electrical Technicians
- Shop Organization and Cleanliness
- Wiring systems and mounting components when required
- Testing and Troubleshooting assembled systems
- General Safety
- The ability to travel up to customer’s facilities. Up to 15% travel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
