Duties
- Greet customers warmly and identify their automotive needs through active listening and effective communication.
- Provide expert advice on automotive available products or services.
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipt issuance.
- Maintain accurate inventory control by stocking shelves, conducting inventory management tasks, and ensuring product availability.
- Assist customers with order fulfillment, including parts ordering, returns, and exchanges while ensuring timely service delivery.
- Use organizational skills to keep the counter area tidy, organized, and fully stocked for efficient customer service.
- Collaborate with the sales management team to implement marketing strategies that boost retail sales and visibility.
- Utilize computer systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and Microsoft Excel for record keeping, inventory tracking, and sales reporting.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or scheduling appointments to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Support automotive service teams by providing parts information and facilitating smooth communication between departments.
Qualifications
- Previous dealership or retail sales experience preferred, especially within an automotive environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, automotive repair, and automotive service procedures.
- Excellent negotiation skills to assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (CMMS), POS systems, and retail math principles.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers of varying backgrounds.
- Organizational skills necessary for stocking, inventory control, order fulfillment, and maintaining a clean workspace.
