Job Overview
We are seeking an exceptionally warm, gentle, and experienced Live-In Caregiver & Companion for an older woman living in her home in Eugene, Oregon.
Compensation is $6,000 per month, plus free housing and use of a vehicle. Weekends are off.
This is a rewarding, long-term opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older adult by providing personalized care, companionship, and support in a comfortable home setting.
Above all, we are looking for someone with a genuinely kind, calm, and gentle personality. The right person will be patient, nurturing, an excellent listener, and someone who brings a peaceful and reassuring presence into the home.
Our mother does best with people who take the time to listen to her, move at a comfortable pace, and approach caregiving with warmth, patience, and respect. We hope to find someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with older adults and who will develop a caring and trusting relationship with her.
This is a long-term position, and finding the right personality fit is extremely important to our family.

- Assist with medication reminders, organization, and adherence to her established care plan
- Observe changes in health, behavior, mobility, or overall well-being and communicate any concerns promptly with family members and the care team
- Prepare three healthy, nutritious, home-cooked meals each day based on her preferences and dietary needs
- Encourage proper nutrition and hydration throughout the day
- Provide thoughtful, engaging companionship appropriate for an older adult experiencing memory loss
- Plan and participate in enjoyable daily activities such as nature walks, gentle outings, grocery shopping, preparing meals together, visiting family, conversation, and relaxing activities at home

An important part of this position is helping our mother continue to enjoy a calm, safe, and fulfilling daily life.
We are looking for someone who understands that exceptional caregiving is not simply completing a list of tasks. It is about listening, being present, noticing what someone needs, and helping her feel safe, comfortable, respected, and genuinely cared for.
