Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup, measurement, and layout of construction sites using blueprint reading and schematics.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to perform tasks such as framing, roofing, concrete finishing, and masonry.
- Support carpentry tasks including trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, and framing.
- Conduct construction inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
- Perform demolition, restoration, or remodeling work as directed by supervisors.
- Assist with installation of flooring, tile laying, stucco, plastering, and glass or drywall installation.
- Follow detailed construction management plans and estimates to contribute to project timelines and quality control.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Experience with various trades including carpentry (frame, trim, door hanging), masonry, roofing, plumbing, electrical work, and welding.
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment responsibly.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, concrete forming tools, caulking guns, scaffolding systems, and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately for precise execution of tasks.
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new techniques like restoration or hardscape installation.
