Statement of duties:
- Working with the office manager and physician to optimize efficient operations while providing the best patient experience for our patients and best working environment for our staff.
Duties include:
- Greeting patients and preparing them for the scheduled visit as appropriate;
- Answering and directing phone calls as appropriate;
- Communicating with referring provider offices and responding quickly to their needs;
- Scheduling self-referred / physician referred patients efficiently;
- Calling patients to confirm appointments prior to office visits;
- Accurate data entry into eClinicalWorks EMR;
- Collaborating with the billing department to provide financial information to patients;
- Collecting and posting payments;
- Scheduling office-based procedures promply, as assigned / approved;
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and a professional attitude;
- Responding to telephone inquires regarding patient care as well as general questions about Vascare and our practice;
- Coordinating appointments for specialists referrals and conveying pertinent information as needed;
Professional requirements:
- Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures;
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical and clinical staff, and the public;
- The ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures;
- The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Educational / Experience requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent;
- 2 Year experience in a clinical setting preferred;
Physical requirements:
- This position requires good physical and mental health. This position requires one to be able to sit, stand, bend, and move intermittently during working hours;
