This role requires a commitment of approximately 16-24 hours per week from mid January through mid-April. Schedules can be flexible to accommodate class schedules.
The responsibilities of this internship may include, but are not limited to~

Preparing individual and fiduciary tax returns using firm provided software

Assisting accountants in preparing tax planning for individual clients

Developing basic knowledge of accounting and tax concepts

Basic understanding of copying and processing all types of tax returns, including corporate, trusts, gift tax, nonprofit, pension administration, personal returns, and extensions.

Maintaining portal, to include adding staff, updating clients, uploading files.

Other accounting and support responsibilities as assigned

Progress towards an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in Accounting or a related field

Future plans to obtain CPA or EA license

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work both independently and in a team setting

Expertise in organization and time management; ability to adhere to time budgets

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
