Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and welcoming environment
- Observe and monitor clients’ health status, noting any changes or concerns for reporting to healthcare professionals
- Support clients with medication reminders and adherence under supervision or care plans
- Provide companionship by engaging in conversations, recreational activities, and social outings to promote mental well-being
- Follow safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures when necessary to ensure client safety at all times
Qualifications
- Prior experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs effectively
- Training or certification in first aid, CPR, HIPAA compliance, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, or hospice care is preferred
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory care needs is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when required
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and family members effectively
- Demonstrated patience and compassion when working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
