LSG Sky Chefs with over 75 years of Catering history is hiring immediately for Full-Time team players to prepare products for our Airline, E-Commerce, and Retail customers. We are the world’s leading provider of end-to–end airline products and services with a fast-growing footprint in Convenience Retail and Subscription Food Service.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Prepares food in accordance with established procedures and specifications
- Understands and complies with HACCP procedures which includes proper temp controls and completing the necessary paperwork
- Mass produces basic foods including but not limited to steaming, poaching, braising and pan frying.
- Prepares food based on a pre-determined production level
- Inventories supply and requisitions the proper amount of supplies on a pre-determined production level
JOB SKILLS OR QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4-5 years' experience as a cook in a high-volume kitchen
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work with requisitions and verbal instructions
• Completes paperwork as required• Must be able to work hours required for the position
• Must be able to lift 30lbs.• Must be able to work in refrigerated and hot areas
Eligible candidates must:
- Be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
- Pass a background check and clear a drug screen
- Be able to stand for the FULL duration of the shift
- Be available to work in a 38- degree cold room, only when necessary
- Be a team player and work well with a diverse team from all over the world!
• Ability to comprehend verbal & written specifications in English• Possess basic math skills
- MUST be able to work a Flexible schedule; This is a 24 hour operation, 7 days a week
Additional eligibility requirements and details:
- This is a Union Position- must be willing to pay union dues after 14 days
- Must be available to work a full-time position, including Weekends and Holidays as needed
- Must be able to complete the application/orientation process in English
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds occasionally, 50+ pounds frequently & 10+ pounds consistently. Bend / stoop & twist repeatedly & stand for 8 – 12 hours a day
