Position Summary
We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and customer-focused Pack & Ship Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, multitasking, and working in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist customers with shipping, packing, printing, mailbox services, and other business services while ensuring every customer receives outstanding service.
Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Answer questions about shipping options, pricing, and services.
- Recommend the best shipping solutions based on customer needs.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally.
Shipping & Packing
- Pack fragile, oversized, and specialty items safely.
- Process shipments through USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other carriers.
- Create shipping labels and customs documentation.
- Track shipments and assist customers with delivery inquiries.
- Accept prepaid drop-offs and package returns.
Mailbox Services
- Assist customers with opening private and virtual mailboxes.
- Sort incoming mail and packages.
- Verify customer identification before mail or package pickup.
- Maintain accurate mailbox records.
Print & Business Services
- Operate copiers, printers, laminators, scanners, and binding equipment.
- Produce high-quality print jobs.
- Assist customers with file preparation and printing.
- Maintain paper and supply inventory.
Store Operations
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments accurately.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Restock shipping supplies and retail merchandise.
- Complete opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Shipping, printing, UPS Store, FedEx Office, USPS, or postal experience is a plus.
- Comfortable learning multiple software systems.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements
- Lift packages up to 50 pounds.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Bend, reach, and move throughout the store.
- Perform repetitive packing and shipping tasks.
Preferred Skills
- Retail sales experience.
- Cash handling experience.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Experience with shipping software or point-of-sale systems.
