Field Marketing Representative Job Description
About This Role:
Mitten Extracts is seeking an outgoing, professional cannabis enthusiast for a Field Marketing Representative. This person is responsible for executing consumer events and in-store marketing activities to support our portfolio of products in retail accounts within their region. As one of the lead brands in the cannabis market, the Field Marketing Representative will be an important member of the Mitten Extracts marketing team with a remit to positively support our brand at the consumer and retail level through increased consumer engagement, sampling, merchandising and constant sales support.
Key Responsibilities:
· Translate market-wide programs into successful local activation within your region through product sampling, event partnerships, and in-store activation.
· Develop relationships with general managers, buyers, budtenders, and marketing departments.
· Visit and maintain relationships with top, key accounts in your region, executing customized marketing activations where applicable.
· Align with sales counterparts to support activations, merchandising, and sales blitzes in your area including accountability for collection of sales reports and credits from vendor days and other activations
· Assist in hosting production facility visits with top accounts and budtenders.
· Develop and share social media content to be used locally and on main accounts.
· Represent Mitten Extracts at all brand events
· Execute budtender trainings weekly
· Execute store visits weekly
· Assist with set up, tear down and logistics of events
· Weekend and evening availability to meet retailer needs – this is a standard experiential marketing schedule
Qualifications:
- 2 years of field marketing experience in cannabis, beverage, CPG, clothing, lifestyle, or health and beauty.
- Good interpersonal skills, experienced at dealing with busy customers and retail teams.
- Proficiency in quantitative goal setting and tracking through CRM platform and sales data.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple marketing initiatives and events simultaneously.
- Reliability to turn up on time & ability to work independently.
- Have a passion for and knowledge of cannabis, including familiarity with different product types, strains, and trends.
- Proficiency in executing collaborative marketing projects from idea through execution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey marketing messages effectively to a diverse audience, including consumers and retailers.
- Ability to connect with consumers and partners, gather feedback, and build relationships to enhance brand loyalty.
- Creative thinking to develop innovative marketing ideas and campaigns that set the brand apart in a competitive market.
- Weekend availability, with most events happening from 12pm to 6pm Wednesday through Sunday.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Must have an internet accessible cellphone with a camera.
- Valid driver’s license, access to reliable transport and ability to travel within the state of Michigan
Reports to: Community Director
Location: Remote, local (Michigan) travel up to 80% of the time
Salary Range: $55,00-$75,000

· Ability to stand for entire time selling (approximately 3-4 hours)

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
