Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant early childhood education environment. As a Preschool Teacher, you will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom where children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. Your role will involve implementing age-appropriate curricula, fostering positive behavior, and building strong relationships with children and their families. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development, curiosity, and independence among preschoolers.
- Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions between lessons and routines while maintaining a structured learning atmosphere.
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to encourage positive behavior and address challenges constructively.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings or written updates.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently, including first aid and CPR procedures, and adhere to mandated reporting laws for child welfare concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements, participate in staff meetings, and contribute to a cohesive team dedicated to early childhood development.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; classroom experience is highly valued.
- Knowledge of child development principles, early intervention strategies, and childhood education best practices such as literacy education, standardized testing preparation, and Montessori methods.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and developmental needs of toddlers and preschoolers.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is desirable.
- Passion for early childhood education combined with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners.
