Long Hill Energy is a family owned heating and cooling company in the Clinton CT shoreline area. We provide residential service to our oil and propane customers. We are looking to hire another detail-oriented Truck Driver to delivery heating oil and Propane this winter.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fuel Truck Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting heating oil, diesel fuel and propane safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving including experience delivering home heating oil and propane to residential locations. The Truck Driver will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations and company policies. We can offer a part time seasonal position for the winter months or year round employment by having the employee preform maintenance tasks on the the trucks and working with our HVAC service department.
Duties
- Operate Class B Hazmat trucks.
- Drive routes efficiently while ensuring the safe transport of product.
- Load and unload fuel at our tank farm facility or other local facilities.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A or B with the ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
- Hazmat and tank truck endorsement with experience driving tank trucks.
- Proven track record in delivery driver experience with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Ability to load and unload heating oil and propane safely using appropriate equipment.
- Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to schedules.

Schedule:
Standard schedule is Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm. Occasional weekends, and overtime available. Extended hours typical during busy season of October to March. We would need a full time drive by November but could offer part time work starting immediately ramping up to full time in the fall.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
