American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 26-week outpatient contract requiring 2+ years of experience and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Outpatient physical therapy setting in a small community rehab department

Patient population is primarily orthopedic with a wide variety of diagnoses given the community outpatient setting
-
Treatments are 45-minute, 1:1 sessions with a caseload of 9 patients per eval and recurring schedule

Rehab aides and PTAs are available on staff, though all treatments are conducted 1:1

Epic EMR is used for charting

Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with 9-hour shifts

No weekend or holiday coverage required

26-week contract only

Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required

Active CO PT license or Compact (NLC) licensure required; pending licenses will not be accepted — license required if applicable

Current BLS certification (AHA) required; pending certifications will not be accepted

Strong patient scheduling and caseload management skills are essential

Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility; a valid driver's license is required for address verification

Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Responsibilities include patient evaluation, development of recurring treatment schedules, and effective management of cancellations and no-shows

Department-specific orientation is provided; clinicians must be on-site for the full orientation week even if initial modules are completed remotely

Business casual attire required

The team has a strong track record of retaining travel PTs, with two previous travelers accepting full-time positions

Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; those who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered

Travelers are expected to float within their assigned zone and should secure housing accordingly
