Position Overview
The Florida Chamber of Commerce is looking for someone who is passionate around creating and maintaining relationships to enhance investor experiences and create funding throughput.
The primary focus is to secure funds by building and maintaining relationships with business leaders and other funders aligned with our mission. Through telephone, Teams/Zoom, and some in person interaction, the Director of Investor Recognition’s objective will be to secure funding to support Chamber and Foundation operations through event sponsorships. Through connecting with existing members, customers, and prospects, this skilled professional will maintain and grow relations with Chamber and Foundation funders.
The Director of Investor Recognition will collaborate with other Florida Chamber team members on consistent best practices for new and renewal dollars. Through the success of this role, the Director of Investor Recognition will help to impact the organization’s strategic goals, specifically:
- Ensures the Florida Chamber and Foundation meets revenue goals.
- Secures sponsorship revenues for Chamber and Foundation events, projects and reports.
- Supports member engagement.
- Supports sales goals by providing support and leadership to the Corporate Outreach team.

Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equally compelling combination of education and experience may be considered
- 3+ years of fundraising or sales experience from either a non-profit or a for-profit environment.
- Previous customer service experience or membership management experience is preferred
- Proven experience using the telephone to create and build relationships
- Proficiency in relevant computer skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Willingness and ability to travel on a limited basis

Work Environment & Physical Demands
This role is primarily an office role that requires sitting at a desk and working in front of a computer screen, and on a telephone, as well as participating in meetings with other individuals within the organization and external to the organization; some limited travel is required to speaking events, networking events, and meetings of various types.
