About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Master Data Management (MDM) Architect with strong expertise in Retail and Supply Chain and hands-on experience with the Stibo STEP platform. The ideal candidate will lead enterprise MDM initiatives, design scalable master data solutions, and drive the implementation of Product Information Management (PIM) and multi-domain MDM solutions.
This role requires a blend of technical architecture, business domain expertise, and leadership to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver enterprise-wide master data solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesMDM Strategy & Solution Architecture
- Define enterprise MDM strategy, roadmap, and target architecture.
- Design scalable master data solutions using Stibo STEP.
- Develop master data models, taxonomies, hierarchies, and governance frameworks.
- Establish best practices for data quality, stewardship, and governance.
- Design integration architecture between MDM and enterprise systems.
- Lead architecture reviews and provide technical leadership throughout project delivery.
Stibo STEP Implementation
- Lead end-to-end implementation and enhancement of Stibo STEP solutions.
- Configure workflows, business rules, approval processes, and validation rules.
- Design Product, Supplier, Customer, and Location master data models.
- Optimize platform performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Guide development teams on implementation standards and best practices.
Retail & Supply Chain Data Management
- Design Product Information Management (PIM) solutions supporting merchandising and eCommerce.
- Develop supplier onboarding and supplier master data processes.
- Architect product lifecycle management and product enrichment workflows.
- Support procurement, inventory, sourcing, logistics, and fulfillment data initiatives.
- Design product hierarchies, classifications, attributes, assortments, and digital asset management strategies.
Data Governance & Quality
- Define data governance policies and master data standards.
- Establish data quality metrics, KPIs, and monitoring processes.
- Implement validation, matching, deduplication, and survivorship rules.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data ownership and stewardship.
Integration & Technology
- Design integrations between Stibo STEP and enterprise applications, including:
- ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
- eCommerce platforms
- Supply Chain Management systems
- CRM applications
- Data warehouses and analytics platforms
- Develop API-based and event-driven integration architectures.
- Collaborate with cloud, integration, and enterprise architects.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with business leaders across Merchandising, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT.
- Facilitate solution workshops and architecture discussions.
- Mentor developers, analysts, and data stewards.
- Support project planning, estimation, governance, and successful delivery.
Required QualificationsExperience
- 10+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Enterprise Data Architecture, or Data Management.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Stibo STEP.
- Proven experience implementing Product MDM/PIM solutions in retail environments.
- Experience leading enterprise-scale MDM transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of retail and supply chain business processes.
Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in Stibo STEP architecture, configuration, and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Product Master Data
- Supplier Master Data
- Customer Master Data
- Location/Store Master Data
- Experience with data modeling, metadata management, and reference data management.
- Strong understanding of APIs, ETL processes, middleware, and integration platforms.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP MDG, Oracle ERP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Familiarity with Data Governance frameworks and tools.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Knowledge of GS1 standards, GDSN, and retail product syndication.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree is preferred.

Pay: $90.00 - $110.00 per hour
