Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Small Engine Mechanic to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Your expertise will help keep our customers’ outdoor power equipment, lawn mowers, chainsaws, and other small engine-powered tools running smoothly. Duties
- Perform detailed diagnostics on small engines, including carburetors, fuel systems, ignition systems, and electrical components
- Repair and overhaul a wide range of small engines such as lawnmowers, snow blowers, generators, and power tools
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, spark plug replacements, and tune-ups
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble engines with precision
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and safety standards are met before returning to customers
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair status clearly to customers
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Small Engine Mechanic or Service Technician with dealership or repair shop background preferred
- STIHL OR ECHO CERTIFICATION A PLUS
- Bi-Lingual English/Spanish a Plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of small engines and related systems; familiarity with diesel engine repair is a plus
- Experience reading schematics and electrical diagnostics for troubleshooting complex issues
- Knowledge of automotive repair principles as they relate to small engine equipment is advantageous
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or bulky equipment parts

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
