Duties
- Provide professional hair styling, cutting, and grooming services tailored to each client’s preferences and needs
- Perform barbering services such as beard trims and classic cuts with precision and care
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas following health regulations
- Engage with clients through effective communication, understanding their desires and offering expert advice on hair care and styling options
- Upsell retail products such as hair care items and improve client results
- Assist with front desk duties when needed—greeting clients and ensuring a smooth salon flow
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state law
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of hair styling and grooming skills
- Familiarity with salon software systems and retail management
- Proficiency in sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with diverse clients
- Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining excellent client relationships
- Store management experience or leadership skills are advantageous for mentoring team members
