What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day invoicing and purchase order tracking
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Manage use tax reporting and compliance
- Track and manage the financial close-out of projects
- Manage W9s and Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
- Create and manage budgets
- Build financial reports and analyze them to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Learn our current systems and processes, then bring your experience to the table to recommend efficiency improvements
- Keep our financial operations organized, accurate, and audit-ready
What You Bring
- Solid experience in accounting or financial control, ideally in construction, contracting, or a similar project-based industry
- Working knowledge of invoicing, AR/AP, reconciliation, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Familiarity with use tax management, W9s, and COIs
- The ability to learn our existing systems quickly — and the experience to know how they could run better
- Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities independently
- Comfort working with accounting/ERP software and reporting tools
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred — Will Result in Higher Pay
- Tax law experience
- Experience managing project budgets in the $1–5 million range
- Experience building or managing inventory tracking systems — we're looking to build out inventory and tracking mechanisms in the future, and experience with this is a major plus
- Experience managing markups, margins, and inventory counts
