Title: Mental Health Worker/ Residential Aide (12am- 8am)
Organizational Unit: Women of Hope- Vine (Housing and Homeless)
Major Responsibilities: Provides safe environment for residents while attending to the cleaning and personal care needs of the women.
Supervised by: Food Service Director
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicates regularly between shifts, receiving report from the shift before and giving the report to the shift coming in.
- Reads from the follow up and log books and includes entries as necessary.
- Does general cleaning in the house
- Does laundry nightly
- Assists with any personal care needs of the women.
- Makes hourly rounds for safety (generally on weekends; or shared with 2nd staff person)
- Answers the phone and door
- Able to handle emergencies
- Prepares breakfast, cleans up and supervises the kitchen
- Assists with the execution of fire drills
- Attends staff meetings, supervisory sessions and makes use of in service opportunities, particularly those needed to comply with PCH licensing
- Completes any tasks necessary for the smooth running of the house and/or as directed by the Program Director.

Representative Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High school graduate/ GED
- Holds or is willing to obtain a current Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Holds or is willing to obtain a current certification in CPR and First Aid
- Has desire, interest and ability to work well with others including residents with severe and persistent mental illness who have been homeless.
- Flexible, hospitable
- Has completed the Direct Care Staff Person Training Course/ Test online and has submitted the certificate; has or will complete the state's med administration training and WOH training in order to be qualified to distribute medications.
