GAMA Contracting Services, Inc. is currently seeking candidates for the position of Field Superintendent. As Superintendent you will need to be able to evaluate ongoing abatement and demolition projects to ensure safety, production and customer service. You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work seamlessly with Project Managers and Field Supervisors to obtain production goals. You must be able to maintain effective relationships with a wide variety of clients including both Public and Private contracts, general contractors, suppliers, and consultants. Bi-lingual is a plus. Knowledge of estimating, scheduling, and bidding are all required for the position, as well as current abatement and demolition procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Spot check projects throughout the entirety of the job
- Occasionally work with PM’s regarding costs and estimates
- Review SOW’s for effective production
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and senior management
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts among team members
- Plan and schedule project timelines if there are production issues
- Be able to communicate clearly and with details for specific elements of the project when dealing with individual clients/contractors
- Keeping an organized file for each project including: any correspondence, receipts/invoices, contracts, biding documents, and any other crucial documents.
- Maintain safety precautions and relay any concerns to PM’s and Field Supervisors
- Comply with all Federal, State, and local legal requirements
- Meet all project deadlines
Qualifications:
- Good verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of how to communicate various construction ideas and concepts
- Have an understanding for what safety measures are required
- Must be self-driven and motivated while possessing leadership skills as well
- 5 + years of asbestos abatement and demolition experience
- Knowledge of Asbestos and Lead abatement, Mold Remediation
