Food Truck Line Cook / Prep Cook – Takitos Con Sabor
Pay: Starting at $15.00 per hour, with higher pay available depending on experience

About the Position
Takitos Con Sabor is hiring Line Cooks / Prep Cooks to join our food truck team!
We are looking for reliable, hardworking people who can handle a fast-paced, high-volume food truck environment. This position is primarily for evening and weekend shifts, with weekends being especially important.
Starting pay is $15 per hour, with the opportunity for higher starting pay depending on your previous restaurant, food truck, griddle, or line cook experience.
If you have experience on the plancha/griddle, even better!
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Takitos Con Sabor menu items according to our recipes and standards
- Work the griddle/plancha and other food truck stations
- Prepare ingredients, portion food, and keep stations stocked
- Assemble tacos, quesabirrias, melts, elotes, and other menu items quickly and accurately
- Maintain proper portions and consistent food quality
- Work efficiently during high-volume rushes
- Communicate with team members to keep orders moving quickly
- Follow all food safety and proper food-handling procedures
- Keep the food truck, cooking stations, equipment, and prep areas clean and organized
- Assist with opening, closing, restocking, and cleaning duties
- Follow instructions from managers and shift leaders
- Be willing to learn and work different stations when needed
Qualifications
- Restaurant, food truck, fast-food, or kitchen experience is preferred but not required
- Griddle/plancha or line cook experience is a major plus
- Must be available primarily evenings and weekends
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Ability to work quickly in a busy environment
- Comfortable working in a hot food truck/kitchen environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to follow recipes, portions, and instructions consistently
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Must maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Must be willing to help with cleaning and other duties as needed
Pay & Growth
Starting pay is $15.00 per hour.
Applicants with previous line cook, griddle/plancha, food truck, or high-volume restaurant experience may qualify for higher starting pay based on experience and skill level.
