Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Fleet Mechanic Supervisor to join our growing team. In this role, you will schedule and support the 2nd shift maintenance crew and the maintenance operation at our facility here in Bryon Center, MI. You will ensure our fleet equipment and systems are functioning optimally while improving the efficiency of our maintenance operation. Your leadership and mechanical knowledge will help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-managed maintenance environment that supports our trucking operation.
Duties:
The 2nd Shift Fleet Maintenance Supervisor would report to our 1st Shift Fleet Maintenance Manager assisting him with the following:
- On Road Repair Coordination
- Managing Scheduled Work Log
- Working with Mechanics to Improve Mechanic Efficiency
- Working as Floor Mechanic as needed
- Rotating On Call Schedule with Fleet Manager
- 6PM - 6AM Monday - Thursday
- Incentive Plan: Available after initial training
- No Weekends
Qualifications
- Semi-Truck/ Trailer Experience required
- Basic computer knowledge: Microsoft: Excel/Word experience.
- Basic knowledge of parts and inventory
- Certifications and Completion of Prior Training Recognized (Although not required)
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Located in West Michigan (or willing to relocate)
- Reliable transportation.
