Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Estimator to join our growing construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations, project specifications, and budget goals. Your expertise will help drive successful project bids, foster strong client relationships, and contribute to the overall profitability of our projects. Duties
- Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents thoroughly to develop precise estimates
- Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather accurate pricing and scope details
- Communication with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms
- Prepare comprehensive bid packages that include material costs, labor estimates, equipment needs, and overheads
- Monitor project costs during execution to ensure adherence to budgets and implement cost control measures as needed
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial projects, with a strong understanding of the full project lifecycle
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as StoneProfits
- Familiarity with Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup processes
- Solid knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project management practices
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet deadlines
