Duties
- Light expediting of orders
- Setting up buffets and catering
- Garnish and sauce preparation
- Safely handle and transport food orders from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring dishes are presented at optimal temperature and quality
- Assist with food preparation and plating as needed, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
- Clear and buss tables efficiently, removing used dishes and maintaining a tidy dining space
- Support servers by delivering beverages, condiments, and additional items promptly to enhance guest experience
- Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy trays or large food containers to prevent injury
- Maintain cleanliness in service areas through regular cleaning and sanitation of work surfaces and equipment
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfactionRequirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and proper manual handling techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, guest-focused approach
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for processing orders efficiently
- Experience with food running, serving, bussing, or banquet service enhances your candidacy
