Job Title: Laborer
General Summary:
Reports directly to the Maintenance Lead Supervisor. This position is responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled tasks related to building and grounds maintenance.
Job Responsibilities:
-Cutting grass
-Shoveling snow
-Pruning of shrubs
-Removal of garbage and trash
-Minor plumbing, electrical, heating and carpentry maintenance
-Some painting
-Performs related work as required
-May work as a mechanic’s helper
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Must be able to read and write English.
-Experience in building and grounds maintenance preferred.
-Related experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
Education and Training:
Must possess a high school degree or an equivalency certificate.
All Maintenance employees must always have a current valid Connecticut driver’s license in effect during their period of employment.
