This role is responsible for developing and closing sales opportunities for engineered concrete batch plant systems, including standard and custom equipment packages, as well as full turnkey (EPC) solutions for batch plants.
The successful candidate will work directly with customers to understand production needs, site constraints, and operational goals, translating those inputs into practical batch plant solutions. This role focuses on selling equipment and systems, not managing construction projects, and requires strong technical understanding combined with a results-driven sales approach.
Sales & Customer Discovery

Develop and manage sales opportunities for concrete batch plant systems, equipment packages, and EPC solutions

Lead customer discussions to understand production rates, material handling needs, plant configuration, and site constraints

Guide customers toward the appropriate plant configuration (stationary, portable, custom layouts, etc.)

Present system solutions that align with customer goals for throughput, reliability, and scalability

Educate customers on tradeoffs related to cost, performance, lead time, and long-term operation
Batch Plant Solution Development

Define scope boundaries between equipment supply and EPC responsibilities, including bins, conveyors, silos, batchers, plant layout, customer, and contractor roles

Work with engineering to develop practical, buildable system concepts

Ensure solutions are aligned with manufacturing capabilities and standard product offerings where possible

Identify key assumptions, scope boundaries, and customer responsibilities (foundations, install, utilities, etc.)

Support development of standardized configurations and repeatable plant designs
Opportunity & Proposal Ownership

Own opportunities from initial contact through order close and handoff to execution

Develop clear, accurate proposals for equipment supply and EPC project scopes

Coordinate internally with engineering and fabrication to validate scope, pricing, and lead times

Maintain clear documentation of scope, assumptions, and deliverables

Drive follow-up, customer communication, and closing strategy
Technical Sales Execution

Translate customer needs into conceptual layouts and system descriptions

Clearly communicate plant functionality, material flow, and system benefits

Support proposals with sketches, general arrangements, and equipment narratives

Work closely with engineering to refine concepts into saleable solutions
Market & Business Development

Identify new opportunities in ready-mix, precast, and related markets

Build relationships with producers, contractors, and industry partners

Represent the company at trade shows, plant visits, and industry events

Provide feedback on pricing, competitors, and customer expectations

Contribute to development of standard plant offerings and product improvements

Education & Experience

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in technical sales, equipment design, or plant management

Experience in concrete batch plants, aggregate handling, or similar equipment strongly preferred
-
Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to read and interpret layouts, drawings, and equipment specifications

Autodesk Inventor / AutoCAD experience is a plus

Steel fabrication or heavy equipment experience is a plus
