<Job Summary>
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our small, dynamic team. Newbie will provide comprehensive administrative support for our (mostly) personal injury firm.
The role requires self-motivation and open communication. We provide an opportunity to succeed without micromanagement--SLG sets expectations with clear guidelines, invited feedback and questions, to allow flexible problem solving.
We are a small firm so you will know your colleagues and your clients. Hybrid work available and flexible hours.
<Duties>
- Manage legal documents through document management systems such as OneDrive and Filevine, ensuring accurate review, filing, and organization.
- Prepare correspondence, pleadings, and correspondence with precision, proofreading for accuracy and clarity.
- Coordinate client interviews, doctors' appointments and follow-up with clients as necessary.
- Support the vibe with jokes, good stories, or food (everyone likes to eat!)
- Provide executive administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, handling phone inquiries with professional etiquette, and maintaining organized filing systems.
<Requirements>
- No prior legal experience required but obviously a plus;
- Excellent organizational and communications skills are beneficial for everyone. This position is ideal for someone with food service or client-facing job history that is looking to transition into the law.

- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. We have a busy, litigation heavy, caseload. Jugglers, circus clowns, and small business employees must adjust on the fly.
Pay: $28.50 - $32.50 per hour
