Hiring a full time dental assistant for our pediatric dental surgery center. Experience is preferred but not required. All candidates must complete a background check and drug screening, as part of the hiring process, including marijuana, as part of the hiring process.
Work schedule:
Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 2:30 pm
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for pediatric dental procedures and help them feel comfortable
- Support infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments
- Set up trays, materials, and equipment for each procedure
- Assist the dentist chairside during treatments
- Assist the Hygienist chairside with radiographs and setup
- Help manage dental emergencies when needed
- Deliver exceptional patient care with a calm, friendly approach
- Record treatment notes accurately in patient charts
- Expose and process dental X‑rays and maintain X‑ray equipment
- Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and post dental treatment instruction
- Collect and document medical and dental histories
- Provide post‑operative instructions as directed by the dentist.
